File links
Share a file with a ti-ny.link URL, test the download experience and use a dynamic short link when your hosted file destination changes.
Share a file through one address
File links let you share a supported file through a ti-ny.link URL. Use them for a PDF guide, document, image or other supported resource your audience needs to open or download.
File-link allowances, upload sizes, supported formats and optional controls depend on your account. Check them before preparing a large download or campaign.
Prepare and share a file link
- Prepare the final file with a clear filename and check that it opens correctly.
- Open File links → File link. Upload a supported file, choose a Short URL if wanted, and select Create file URL.
- Save the link and open its public URL on desktop and mobile.
- Check whether the browser previews or downloads the file, and verify that visitors receive the intended version.
- Share the tested URL directly, add it to a bio page or connect it to a QR code.
On Free, upload files up to 8 MB in these formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .webp, .avif, .pdf, .zip, .rar, .doc and .docx. The upload form shows the formats and size limit available to your account.
Different browsers may handle the same file differently. Test the experience your audience will use, including any access controls you enable.
Keep a changing resource behind a stable link
If a file is already hosted on your website or another service, create a dynamic short link to its public URL. When the hosted file moves or a new version gets a different address, update the short link’s destination and keep its alias unchanged.
Check the public link after every update. This is useful for a price list, media kit or guide promoted in an ongoing QR campaign.
Understand file-link activity
Available link statistics can help you review visits and referral information. A recorded visit does not confirm that a download finished or that the recipient read the file. Use destination-specific measurement if you need that level of detail.
Read the Analytics guide and compare plan allowances before planning your reporting.
