FROM IDEA TO SHARED
Create your first short link.
Start with a destination URL, then build on it with a dynamic QR code, a simple bio page and link statistics. Follow these four steps in your ti-ny.link workspace.
Create your first short link.
Have the destination URL ready. A page you can open and check is the best place to begin.
- Create an account ↗ or log in to your workspace.
- In Dashboard, choose Create link → Shortened URL. Enter the destination in Long URL and an optional alias in Short URL, then choose Shorten URL.
- If the destination will change, open HTTP Status in the link’s settings, choose 302 Temporary redirect and select Update before sharing it.
- Open the public short link in a new tab. Confirm it reaches the destination you intended.
- To change where it leads later, edit Destination URL, select Update and test the public link again.
Keep the address. Update the destination.Keep the alias stable once you start sharing it. The default 301 redirect can be cached by browsers; switching to 302 does not clear an earlier cached redirect.
Read the short-link guide →Turn that link into a QR code.
- Open QR codes → Create QR and choose the URL type.
- Enter a name, enable Dynamic QR code, then enable Select from pre-existing links and choose the short link you created.
- Choose Create and check Embedded data on the saved QR page. Open Download to choose SVG, PNG, JPG or WEBP.
- Scan-test the downloaded code on a real device before printing. Check the destination and test again at the final print size.
Change the destination, never the printed alias.A dynamic QR code points to the short link. Changing that short-link alias after printing can break the QR code. Update the destination behind it instead.
Before you print a batch, scan a sample at its final size with your phone. Leave enough space around the code for a clear scan.
Read the QR code guide →Make a simple bio page.
- Create a Biolink page and choose its address.
- Open Blocks → Add block and add a Heading.
- Add a Link block with a clear label and destination. Save block edits with the relevant Update button.
- Open the public page. Check the heading and click the button to verify its destination.
- Add the bio-page URL to your profile when it’s ready to share.
Save, then check.Use Update for block edits and page settings. Open the public page after saving to check the result.
Explore bio-page blocks →Check your link statistics.
- Open your short link and follow it through to the destination.
- Open that link’s statistics in the workspace.
- Check the date range, Pageviews and Visitors, then review the available referrer information.
- Open UTM Parameters in the link settings, enter Source, Medium and Campaign, select Update and check the final redirected URL.
A test click is still a test click.Your own checks can appear in analytics. Allow time for visits to appear and check the specific link’s statistics and date range.
Read the analytics guide →Keep your workspace a tap away.Install the ti-ny.link app →
Add it to your Home Screen, Dock or desktop on a supported device, then sign in with your usual account.
