Connect a custom domain for branded links

Set up a custom domain or subdomain for ti-ny.link short links and bio pages, configure the current DNS records and test the public address.

Use your own domain

On an eligible plan, you can connect a domain or subdomain for branded short links and bio pages. For example, you could use links.yourbrand.com to share campaign links.

Check your allowance first. The published plan grid lists no custom domains on Core, one on Plus and three on Pro. See the pricing and limits guide.

Before you start

You need access to the domain's DNS settings and the current connection instructions from ti-ny.link. Choose an address that you control and can keep for the lifetime of the links you plan to share.

If your main domain already hosts a website, consider a dedicated subdomain for your short links. Review existing records before making DNS changes.

Add the domain and obtain the DNS details

  1. Open the custom-domain area in your ti-ny.link account.
  2. Enter the domain or subdomain you want to connect.
  3. Review the current DNS instructions shown for the connection. If no target is provided, leave DNS unchanged until you have the required value; do not guess a target.
  4. In your DNS provider, add or update only the record required for that address.
  5. Return to ti-ny.link and follow the verification or activation steps shown.

Use the current record type, host and target supplied for your account. An old IP address or a target copied from an unrelated service may no longer be valid.

Understand the DNS fields

FieldWhat to enter
TypeThe record type specified by ti-ny.link, such as A or CNAME
Host or nameThe domain label being connected, using your provider's notation
Value or targetThe exact current IP address or hostname supplied for the connection
TTLThe caching value recommended in the setup instructions or by your DNS provider

An A record points to an IPv4 address; a CNAME points to a hostname. They are not interchangeable. DNS caches can delay the visibility of changes, so allow time and check the saved record before making repeated edits.

Configure optional destinations

If your domain settings offer a Custom index URL, use it for the page visitors should reach when they open the bare domain. For example, links.yourbrand.com could lead to your main website.

If they offer a Custom 404 URL, use it for a useful destination when someone follows an unknown path. Test both behaviours after saving.

Test before sharing

  1. Confirm the domain is active in ti-ny.link.
  2. Create a test link using the connected domain and open its HTTPS address.
  3. Check that it reaches the intended destination without a certificate warning.
  4. If using the domain for a bio page, open the page and test its buttons.
  5. Test any index or missing-link destinations you configured.

Connecting a domain does not automatically change every previously shared URL. Check the domain selected for each link or page. Keep published aliases and any QR-linked addresses stable when updating their destinations.

DNS help from your provider

These guides explain where to edit records. Use ti-ny.link's current connection details for the record values.

For another provider, use its official DNS documentation.

Troubleshoot a connection

Compare the saved record with the current ti-ny.link instructions, check for conflicting records for the same hostname and review the status in your account. If the connection still fails, record the domain name and the exact error shown. Ask the person who manages your DNS to check the saved records against the values shown in ti-ny.link.

For a campaign using the connected domain, continue with the Dynamic links guide or multiple bio pages workflow.
